DEN4DEK aims to support project partners and all interested regions in planning the deployment of Digital Ecosystems.
Through a set of workshops, DEN4DEK will give an overview of the technical, socio-economic and policy/political aspects of Digital Ecosystems in order to prepare regions in the process of developing a Digital Ecosystems Deployment Strategy Plan. The project will also bring into the DEN4DEK community all EU regions interested in implementing the Digital Ecosystems and will promote discussion among partners and an enlarged community on the implications of deploying a DE.
General mechanisms of communication and dissemination
Three mechanisms of communication and dissemination are contemplated:
- Internally, through a ‘two-way’ dialogue between experienced partners and ‘new’ partners.
- Continuous assistance to all partners and the ‘enlarged community’ through a ‘Virtual Help Desk’ along the whole Project’s lifetime.
- Continuous contact with the ‘enlarged community’, other projects (i.e. PEARDROP, OPAALS), and other interests groups (i.e. the European Regional Information Society Association – Eris@).
The main internal mechanisms of dissemination will be the project Workshops, dealing with three main aspects:
- Technical aspects
- Socio-economic aspects: special emphasis on the socio-economic impact of DEs deployment.
- Political/policy aspects: policy strategies which can be adopted for DE deployment, how to introduce the DEs in regional innovation plans and strategies, how to build political support for DE deployment.
In a mix of knowledge sharing activities and direct assistance in the planning of Digital Ecosystems deployment, DEN4DEK will establish a European community of interest of regional decision makers and economic actors able to share a novel strategy for sustainable regional development,
At the end of the project, all DEN4DEK regions will prepare a DE Adoption Strategy, Deployment Plans and Knowledge Transfer Plans adapted to each region.
All the results of DEN4DEK will be publicly available, providing free access to the methodologies, systems and models that support the planning of the Deployment of a Digital Ecosystem.
